The Philippine government has launched the finalized Philippines AI+ Infrastructure Masterplan 2026–2033, a roadmap estimating that $34.4 billion in public and private investment will be required to expand the country’s infrastructure for artificial intelligence. (Philippine News Agency)

The plan targets a roughly 30-fold increase in AI data center capacity, from about 50 megawatts today to 1.5 gigawatts by 2033. Its first phase calls for roughly 400 MW of capacity by 2030. (Philippine News Agency)

Of the estimated investment required, the masterplan expects $13.5 billion, or 39%, to come from public sources and around $21 billion, or 61%, from private investors. These are funding requirements and assumptions in the roadmap, not money that has already been committed. (Philippine News Agency)

The infrastructure plan identifies Clark-Bataan as its primary anchor, with Batangas-Aurora, Subic and Calabarzon serving as additional corridors or hubs. Cebu, Iloilo, Davao and Cagayan de Oro are identified as future regional nodes. (Philippine News Agency)

The roadmap also calls for the reskilling of 1.3 million IT-BPM workers for AI-enabled services by 2033. It projects more than 500,000 AI-related jobs and another 175,000 infrastructure jobs, although those figures remain government projections rather than measured outcomes. (Philippine News Agency)
