The IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines has launched a coordinated investor campaign aimed at attracting more global companies to establish or expand operations in the country, while broadening the IT-BPM industry’s market base beyond its traditional dependence on the United States. IBPAP said the initiative brings together advisory firms, real estate developers, banks and investment promotion agencies. It is targeting companies headquartered in Australia, Japan, the Middle East and the United Kingdom, along with mid-market businesses and organizations in banking, financial services, insurance and healthcare. One of the campaign’s priorities is attracting more global capability centers, or in-house operations that multinational companies use for functions such as technology, finance, analytics, cybersecurity, engineering and enterprise services. IBPAP is also positioning the Philippines for more specialized and AI-enabled work rather than relying primarily on traditional customer-support services. (Newsbytes.PH)

Under the initiative, advisory firms are expected to include the Philippines in location recommendations, property partners will support facilities and site visits, banks will use their international client networks to identify prospects, and investment promotion agencies will help prospective locators with incentives and market entry. IBPAP also plans investor roadshows, executive briefings and targeted business-development activity across the priority markets. (Newsbytes.PH)

The campaign comes as the industry works toward a revised best-case 2028 outlook of $50.5 billion in annual revenue and 2.14 million jobs. Those figures are targets rather than commitments generated by the new coalition. IBPAP revised its earlier 2028 projections in July to reflect changes in global demand, AI adoption and industry conditions. (GMA News Online)

IBPAP has not publicly identified all members of the coalition or announced specific investment or employment commitments secured through the campaign. (Newsbytes.PH)
